Something amazing is happening in Alachua County, Florida. Since 2000, nonprofit pet rescue groups, local government, veterinarians, and animal lovers have worked together to end overpopulation of dogs and cats through spay/neuter initiatives, education, adoption, community cat management, and close collaboration.  The Wagmore Foundation is proud to support a county-wide partnership that does not use animal euthanasia as a means of population control.

In 2017, our partnership achieved its goal of a better than 90% live release rate throughout Alachua county for the full year. the partners will continue work to build sustainability of this status while expanding support to our surrounding counties.

Since 2011, the Wagmore Foundation has provided more than $3 million in funding to support these efforts.
